American Paddlefish, also known as "spoonbill" because of its duckbill-like snout, is a cartilaginous cousin to the Hackleback sturgeon wild caught in the various American Rivers. Our fine paddlefish roe is harvested from the Grand Lake & Grand River which is a tributary system of the Arkansas River in Oklahoma and White River System in color from light green to dark steel gray.
Historically, many americans treated this as their first caviar.. interesting caviar chronicle stories came about in its trade.
A fine yet less expensive alternative to farmed sturgeon caviar and appreciate for being wild and limited to keep healthy stocks thriving.
We are especially proud to be working with the Fish & Wildlife conservation program. Fish and Wildlife works with anglers who bring the fish in at harvest to process and the roe sales provide for research and conservation of a healthy balance of paddlefish.
Hand packed and quality checked for color, size, freshness, flavor and texture. Often briny like an oyster, it is great as an entry level caviar and atop your favorite dishes from a baked potato to pizza or over a nice filet. The paddlefish feed on plankton so its 100% natural and delicious !
I love caviar. I’m no connoisseur but I know what I like! Anyway - just love it. This was the 3rd time I ordered it! Just delicious. Doesn’t need a vessel or any other flavors. Can eat it right out of the jar.
WOW! Recently had the pleasure of enjoying some Entrée caviar. The texture and flavor was exceptional in EVERY aspect. The caviar flavor stands alone, however, when accompanied with Champagne...the taste buds go into overdrive. The experience with Haute Caviar NEVER disappoints. Definitely my preferred supplier of Life's little enjoyments. Cannot say enough of the quality of roe or the first rate service provided by Haute Caviar!!
